Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How to use Optimo PRO?

Squeeze the sponge to release the active ingredient, then simply apply the product to the surface, spread it evenly with the sponge (without rubbing), and rinse with clean water.

Do I need to clean the glass before applying the product?

For better effectiveness and longer protection time, it is best to clean or rinse the surface quickly beforehand.

What is the difference between RainX and Aquapel?

These products are primarily water-repellent. Here, you have an all-in-one: cleaner, water-repellent and stain-resistant, effective for several weeks.

Should the windshield be dry or wet?

Both work perfectly.

How long should I wait before driving?

The effect forms almost immediately; you don't need to wait.

On what surfaces can it be applied?

Windscreen, side windows, rearview mirrors and headlights. Some also apply it to the interior.

How long does the effect last?

On average, up to 8 weeks per application, depending on weather conditions and wiper usage.

Does the product leave a greasy film?

No, it leaves a non-greasy, hydrophobic film that leaves no residue.

Does it contain substances like PFAS?

No, it does not contain PFAS or “eternal pollutants”.

Is it suitable for cracked or old windshields?

Yes, no problem. It doesn't damage the glass and actually improves visibility.

Can it be applied to the inside of the windshield?

Possible, but not a priority: the inside gets less dirty. The outside remains the most exposed to the elements.

Does the product prevent fogging?

Yes, the formula contains an anti-fog agent that effectively eliminates condensation. Your windshield therefore remains clear even in humid conditions.

Can it be used on headlights?

Yes, it is also suitable for headlights. The product cleans the surface and leaves a hydrophobic film, which helps to keep headlights clearer and limits the adhesion of dirt.

Can it also be used on the bodywork?

Yes, but the product is primarily designed for glass surfaces. It can be applied to the car body, but the water-repellent and cleaning effect will be less pronounced than on glass.

Is it possible to apply it to tinted windows?

Yes, the product contains no components that could damage the tint or film. It acts on the surface and does not affect the coloring.

Is your product natural?

No, it's not formulated with natural ingredients. However, it replaces several products and reduces the frequency of washes, thus decreasing water and plastic consumption. We would gladly switch to a 100% natural formula if it were as effective and sustainable, but currently, the alternatives don't guarantee such high-performing results.
